Tiphaine is the wilful, wild Queen of the Woods. Estranged from her husband Elphenor because of her ways, her court is full of light, music and dancing. She delights in causing trouble, but will usually blame her husband for everything,and her mischief making seems to have no limits. She is quite spoiled, and will take anything that she decides she wants, casting it away with equal ease when she is bored.
Her title, Queen of Seasons comes from her swift changes in mood, used often to influence those around her. Much of the time she is Spring or Summer. Spring represents her most mischievous, childish persona, full of joy and completely irresponsible. When a little more calm, she is as Summer: warm and inviting, friendly and pleasant, cultivating happiness in the court. Occasionally she will be as Autumn, introspective and quiet but these times are rare since leaving her husbandıs sober influence and when she is annoyed she will briefly show her Winter aspect: cold and cruel, vengeful and petty. Her people have now become used to her mood changes, but visitors could find it disconcerting.
Constantly with her is her consort and lap-dog, a human bard called Thomas. Most of the time she seems to treat him with love and affection, though when in her Winter aspect will be more cruel to him than to anyone else: though he seems to take it. Tiphaine is physically stunningly beautiful (though she has been helped by Glamour): tall, slender with pale skin, silver blond hair and kaleidescope eyes.
