Items Created

Wand of Earthworking
each of The Earth Split Asunder, ReTe 30, Earth Shock, ReTe 30, Crest of the Earth Wave, ReTe 30, Creeping Chasm, ReTe 35, 4 uses per day

Bag of Holding (MuTe(He, An, Aq) 25, unlimited uses per day)
Items can be placed in the bag and will shrink so they are so tiny they all fit. To get something into the bag, hold the item over the open top of the bag and name it. It will then disappear into the bag. To get an item out of the bag, call its name. Anything up to the size of a large sword can be fitted into the bag. Humans cannot be so stored.

Cloth of Healing (The Chirurgeon's Healing Touch, unlimited uses per day)
As per spell. To use, lay the cloth over the wound, and if necessary place vis on the cloth, and say trigger word.

Glove of Manipulation (ReTe (He, An, Aq) 40, constant while worn)
The wearer can lift and manipulate objects from the tiniest object up to the size of a small room (!) from Near range with a high level of accuracy. To use, put on the glove, say the trigger word.

Sword of Vengeance (CrIg 20, unlimited use, item only)
Longsword enchanted to flame up upon use of a command word and to do an extra +15 damage. It is a little obvious however.

Background

You were born in Northern Spain to a a village blacksmith, and were brought up with the heat of the forge, and the sound of your father working the metal. Perhaps it was your birth or perhaps your upbringing, but when you were taken as an apprentice by the magus Ignatius when you were 8, he soon discovered that you had a natural affinity for the working of the earth, and especially metals (Magical affinity (Te) +3, Deft art (Te) +1). Ignatius was a follower of Verditius (Follower of Verditius -1) living in a Spanish covenant covertly working with the Reconquista.

As you grew, it also became apparent, that you were larger than normal children, and once full grown, you were both taller and broader that most men (Large +3). Although you are not particulary clumsy, a combination of your size, and the special difficulties of Verditius magic means that you take longer than most magi to cast magic (Slow caster -2). Another peculiar thing became apparent: your fingernails were very slow growing and grey, but very strong. However, your master soon realised that should you clip the nails annually, you could reap 4 pawns of Terram vis (Secret vis source (Te) +1). You now have a stock of 8 pawns of Terram vis in your personal stock.

Your apprenticeship was quite a pleasant one, though in the latter years you were left very much to your own devices. Ignatius was working upon his 'magnus opus' - an item that would amaze even the Verditius, and was loathe to allow anyone see what he was creating. However, as you completed your gauntlet, he requested that you help, as he had reached a tricky part. You realised, with horror, that he was creating a massive - and powerful - magical weapon he openly admitted he intended to use against the Moors, both magical and mundane. You fretted about what to do, but in the end, went to the quaesitors, to both warn them and to plead for your master's life. Ignatius, unable to complete his item by only a few seasons, and unable to accept censure, fled from the quaesitors and was killed during the flight. His spirit did not rest, however, and his ghost plagues you. (Plagued by a ghost -4). Sometimes, he only verbally harasses you, invisible to all others; other times, he causes you real problems; often he disappears for weeks or months on end, only to reappear at the most inopportune times. Meanwhile the quaesitors investigated his actions and although you were exonerated, the taint of being his filius remains to this day (Infamous master -1). You are sensitive to any comments about breaking the code (Oversensitive -1). One day you hope to build up the resouces and skill to create such a magical item that your father's sins will be forgotten. (Driving goal -1): you hope and believe that Dragonclaw will be able to help in that quest.

One comfort for you since moving to Dragonclaw came as a surprise to you more than anyone. One day, while out collecting stone samples from the hills, you met a beautiful young woman, Melea, and whenever you returned, she was there. You began to go back not for the stone, but for her, and gradually you fell in love. She reciprocated. You know she is faerie, but don't try and think about what that means long term. In the short and medium term, she is yours, and although she won't live in the covenant, just thinking of her brings you happiness (True love +2). You haven't told the others about her (you don't know what they would think), but would do anything to stay near her.

Other magi

Caitlin is an intense young woman who you quietly like a fair bit. She's ex-Misc. and very good at the elements (though you are better at Te) and like you she has a love for the mountains. You've never really been able to get really close to her.

Erin is an expert in faerie magic, and in particular Muto magics. She also believes that she is a faerie, though she clearly is not. However, she is always good natured, and sweet, and you cannot help but like her most of the time, even if she annoys you sometimes with her peculiarities.

Felix is a magus that you find difficult to understand, as his magic is so far removed from pure hermetic theory and he is so reserved. As a member of Bjornaer he is attuned best to the forms of Animal and Herbam. He can be a little withdrawn and sometimes seems even pained by his gift, but you believe him trustworthy, as far as you can tell.

Fidelis is such a lab-rat it isn't true. He is a Bonisagus, and an expert in Vim. He is obsessed with magic, twisted with arthritis, and rarely goes out but you understand better than most. He too is driven to achieve and will often try and lead the covenant to improve the resources.

Reynaud is a Tytalus, the filius of Sirius and is an arrogant and difficult young man. He seems to believe that with his parent gone, he is the natural leader of the covenant, and tends to give orders assuming everyone else will follow them. This annoys you sometimes, and you suspect it annoys others but he certainly seems stronger than most, and if that is going to keep the covenant safe, then so be it. Fidelis and Thomas often ignore him and often you find yourself mediating.

Thomas is a magus of House Jerbiton and has an unhealthy interest in mundane affairs. He often goes travelling, and is often to be found with a young lady on his arm. Mostly, he is a cheerful sort, and at such times he can be a good leader and useful sort, he is but othertimes he appears disconsolate and cannot be reasoned with.
